Arrange a funeral

A funeral, arranged at your pace.

Whether the death has just happened or you are planning ahead, we walk you through every choice together. Here is what the arrangement usually looks like, from the first call through to afterwards.

  1. Telephone us, at any hour.

One of us will answer. There is no call centre and no script. We will listen first, and we will only talk about the practical steps when you are ready. There is no cost or obligation to make arrangements with us.

  2. We come to you, or you to us.

If you would prefer, we will visit the home in Camden, Islington or the surrounding areas. If you would rather meet us at our premises at 2 Brecknock Road, we can arrange a time that suits you. Take as long as you need.

  3. Together we shape the funeral.

Burial or cremation, religious or secular, traditional or simple. We will talk through the order of the day, the coffin, the music, the flowers, who speaks, and where. Nothing is decided until you are sure.

  4. We handle the paperwork.

We will coordinate with the registrar, the cemetery or crematorium, and, if needed, the coroner. We will tell you which certificates you will be given and what to do with them. If you would like help with the "Tell Us Once" service, we will show you how.

  5. On the day.

We arrive in good time. We handle the transport, the bearers, the service sheet, and the timings. We are there throughout, quietly present. You are free to be with your family rather than managing the details.

  6. Afterwards.

We return ashes, or assist with memorialisation in a cemetery or place of your choosing. Grief does not end with the funeral, and neither does our care — we will point you towards local bereavement support if it would help.

Transparent pricing

Our prices, in full. Nothing hidden.

Every funeral director in the UK is required by the Competition and Markets Authority to publish a Standardised Price List. Ours is in the same format as every other firm, so you can compare us openly.

Before you call

Questions families often ask first.

What do I do if someone has just died?
We are at the end of the phone on 020 XXXX XXXX, whenever you need us. If a death has occurred at home, we will talk you through what happens first, which depends on whether it was expected and whether a doctor has been. If it happened in hospital or a hospice, the staff there will guide you, and we can take over as soon as you are ready.
How much does a funeral cost?
Costs depend on the type of service. We give every family a written estimate before any work begins, so you know exactly what a funeral with us will cost. Please contact us for a quote. Our full Standardised Price List is also published on our pricing page and available in print in our office.
Do I have to come into the office to arrange a funeral?
No. We are glad to come to your home, anywhere in Camden or Islington, at a time that suits you. Many families find that easier than a formal meeting.
Can we have a non-religious or bespoke service?
Of course. We arrange religious services of every faith, humanist ceremonies, and gatherings with no formal service at all. The arrangement is entirely yours.
Are you open at the weekend?
We take calls twenty-four hours a day, every day of the year. Office visits outside standard hours can be arranged by phone.

When you are ready, we are here.

We are at the end of the phone whenever you need us, and we answer every call ourselves. Or send a message and we will come back to you the same day.
